funny things kids say

Riley.. he is a character! there are a few things recently I need to blog about, that Riley has said.. we were all in the car going somewhere, Riley was in the back/middle.. we were coming up on a red light and it just turned green, but there was a line of cars still stopped.. Riley grabs the arms of his carseat, and lifts himself a bit higher and says with shock and emotion "Holy SHIT!, those cars are stopped at a green light!" mike points at me! hey what did I do?.. lol I know, I have a potty mouth and its odd the moment when you stop to realize your children are really paying attention to you... unless you tell them to clean their room.. Mike and Riley love those dumb commericials, about the pothole, and the cheese commercials,, ok, I admit they are funny. Today mike said Riley saw a new geico commericall. and right afterwards said "that wasnt funny, that was boring! Car Insurance is suppose to be Funny!" ssshhh.. dont tell Riley... I think thats his spiderman.. being used as a chew toy His teenager attitude is getting better, We are trying harder to follow thru with our whole "we are the parents" deal. :) he is a Fantastic big brother! as the mean mom I am.. I told him a few days ago, that brady was starting to eat more, and that we could only afford to keep one of them.. and asked him who we should get rid of.. He looked at me like I was crazy, and said, NO ONE! You have to keep us both because you love us and we love you. and I love turtle and he loves me. :) Smart kid, I guess I'll have to keep forking out that $2.00 a day to keep Riley filled with cold hotdogs, goguarts, cereal, and spaghetti O's.. :) He even throw a bit of a fit when I have to take brady out of the living room, for his nap time, or to change or feed him. He wants him to stay with him, and he watches him pretty good :) and I LOVE to hear them laugh from the other room.this is at red lobster.. a waiter came up and talked to mike about the Buffalo Bills, and when he left Riley said "daddy tell that guy why he doesnt have any hair" lol good thing the guy was already gone.. then he said to me later "Mommy, why did You really just eat that CRABS ARMS!" lol yummy crab legs! :) he refused to tough the claw.. but Turtle however wanted to eat it. last week.. when it snowed in Mesa, I was driving, it was snowing,.. I know this because when I looked down at my windshield there was ice all over it! I looked up, and this is what I saw.. a beautiful sky, while it was snowing on us :)

Hello & welcome to my Happy World :)

I had a great day yesterday... a day that reminds me of how Blessed I am...

I woke up.. there in itself is good,
Mike was happy :)
We got ready and went to lunch with Andrea at Peter Piper,
Brady was happy
Riley was.... well.. hmm.. ok so everything wasnt perfect.. moving on
After lunch mike took me to Best Buy..
to get my new CAMERA!! He got it for me.. well he gave me most of the money for it
Its on my goals list this year, and I get to check it off my list! woohoo


Its beautiful! I love it, but I need to take the time to learn how to use it..

after lunch we came home, I cleaned the kitchen and my friend Becky came over to hang out for a bit.

A few hours later, Mike took me and the kids to Red Lobster to use my gift card I got for Christmas.. Excellant Food, great service and good kids.. and a Strawberry Daiquiri, YUMMO! then we came home and stuggled on the couch to watch the Bachelor.. I love that show!

Brady has a natural Mohawk.. straight down the middle, after washing his hair, it dries curling up like a mohawk.. Crazy!

2011 Already??...

Happy New Year!!

I spend mine at the Police Station, basically behind bars.. well at least tied to the chair unable to leave until 2am, just after the fun was done and gone.


We celebrated a little.


we set off some fireworks, since they are legal now, and we got a million calls about them, I think its only fair that we got to enjoy a bit ourselves.


There are my goals for 2011.. I did put allot of stuff on here this year, but, because.. Since this is the year of accomplishment, I wanted to be able to check allot of them off, Hince.. the Accomplishment part.





I figured I would wake up newly refreshed, and energized! Ready to take on the world. .. well I woke up in the same sleepy state as usual, and the only thing I was ready to take on was Breakfast!. but some great things start slow, and progressivly get better as time goes on by.


its kinda like jr, high.. for girls anyways, when you had a Birthday, in the age rage of 13-16 every birthday, you wake up that morning 100% positive that this is the day! The day you wake up with boobs! finally, or your amazing slender and your hair is full and long, and you have perfect skin! just like the 15 year olds in the movies. then you look in the mirror, and realize its still you, just plain old, frumpy you. new years is what birthdays used to be.. A fresh start, A new beginning. As women we have finally come to realize that nothing changes on our Birthdays, and being anywhere over 28... isnt exciting at all.
So.. we gave up on those Crappy birthdays and turned to New years for that false sense of hope and immediate change for the better we all seek. Yay New years!!
But.. This is the one, I can feel it.. this is the new year where I finally fall into myself and start living my Best life.

First Spaghetti = Bath

Turtle has had allot of Firsts lately, but its because he is growing up so fast! i HATE IT.. but I know it happens.

I made spaghetti, and thought what a great time to introduce our lit"l turtle to one of the family favorites. Mike said NO SAUCE... he thought it would be to messy. (DUH) so we started without sauce, just noodles.

HE LOVED IT! Surpirsed?.. me either..

He did a great job, with little mess on the floor this time. got most of it in his mouth,

then it was BATH time! Turtle used to scream when I would give him a bath, it was so sad, I used to hate it, and end up giving him sponge baths for the first 5 months of his life instead,

Since he can sit up now, he did a great job in the tub with Riley.

Riley was so excited to take a bath with him, and even washed his hair for him.

They played with toys, and Turtle was very confused and kept looking down at the water,, splashing a bit, But ...no screaming :)

I love this picture :) its funny you can tell what different complextions they have here. Riley has michaels complextion and turtle is all me. except.. I did see those curls sneek thru...

we must have been playing for awhile, cause Riley hands and feet got all Wrinkly

After bath everyone went to bed, Riley is doing better listening, and is usually so helpful. :)

Brady was teething and woke up at midnight, so we laid under the Christmas tree.. Since we have to take it down sometime this week.

he was grabbing the lights, and trying to eat them, this pic, because of the camera makes it look like the electricity is going straight into his mouth!

Green Beans

He has had them before...


in squished form, and in normal big people out of a can form..


and stealing them off mommys plate while laying on the couch next to her but..

He was a bit confused when I put him in the big boy high/low chair.. and when I dumped green beans in front of him..

I forgot what a mess those babies make when they are first learning to feed themselves. Green Beans everywhere!!! but well worth it...

The day after Christmas..

We had Christmas.. again :)

we went to Chris and Emilys for Cristmas with Gene and Jenny. Emily made an dinner,



and the kids ran around and played. They got a wii for Christmas and Harlee is an excellent Boxer! and Riley got his first ever strike in the bowling game.
Harlee got the cutest little hampster! I want one!





Kingston :)



Papop and grandma Jenny brought so many presents and the kids had a great time! They got us a computer chair, which I have been trying to get for 2 christmas's in a row, but always ended up taking it off my list because there were other things people needed more, So Mike and I are so happy!!
& I got a movie! I already watched it, its so funny and one of those that I can watch over and over again, dumb girl movie.. but... they make me happy :)

After dinner and presents we went to play in the backyard, Chris and Em have a quad and a big yard! Chris took the kids for a ride




then mike went on! Yes Michael! He had a blast, and I saw that excitement and joy from him, that I havent seen in a long time :) It was awesome! He even got dusty, :) I LOVE IT! I rode around for awhile and then tasted dirt in my mouth afteards,, bad to smile with an open mouth while riding fast.


Turtle went on his first quad ride, mike said after they started going, turtle started bouncing like he was in his jumperoo..


Riley is staying the night there tonight, its so nice to have a break from the noise, but I had to admit, I sure do miss him,


Christmas is over, and on to the New Year! we had a great Christmas and I am so Thankful to have a Wonderful Family!

Christmas 2010,

Our first Christmas with two boys. It was great.
We stayed home all day, in our jammies. and just opened presents and played together. Riley was so exicted that santa brought him the batcave that he wanted.






and Turtle got a wagon/walker from santa.

Brady loved the wrapping paper, and the bows and the ribbons :)



Riley wrapped his buzz monkey to give to turtle, He loved it :) I think he was most excited about this gift!




brady is just learning to sit up by himself. he has been doing great! today while we had presents and papers all over the house, he fell over and hit his head on the corner of RIley remote control truck :( He cried, a so sad mommy what the heck happened cry.. I dont hear him cry often. It broke my heart. his poor little head.






I put to: Riley from: buzz on a gift, and when Riley read it, he looked so confused.. and he said to mike.. Um?.. its from Buzz? well.. cool but I dont know how he got in our world. (smart kid)





He loved everything, even the pink leapster 2. I said is this color ok. He said "this one is for ladies, but I dont mind I can still use it" :) Thank goodness!

Mike got me awesome gifts! I was so proud of him. I got 2 gift cards/ red lobster, itunes, and farmville (lol, I know) a wii game deal or no deal, a sandwich maker, a cordless drill (yay!) a big boiling pan, hair clips, & a set of Paula Dean Knives!! They were set up on the counter when I got home last night, I was so excited! and they work awesome! they are sharp, and beautiful! & in a few weeks he is going to give me money for a new camera :) woohoo

I got mike a GPS, colonge, espn subscription and ateam the movie, a case of monsters, and tv trays, a sweatshirt.


Sharon came over to have dinner with us. Its was nice! the boys had a great time, and Riley loved his 2 cars she got him. and Brady likes his new toys too!





A very nice relaxing Christmas, Turtle is snuggly in his bed, Riley is playing his new video game system and laying in his bed with his new spiderman bedding. and I am about to go to bed..




Merry Christmas.... all the prep, worries, wrapping, cleaning, cooking, thinking, planning, money, ect.. all over...

until we go to Chris and Emilys tomorrow to have christmas again :)
